TIMB3R 4.0: Skali Collection

TIMB3R 4.0

TIMB3R Design Incubator Programme (DIP) 4.0, an initiative by the Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) that fosters collaboration between Malaysian designers and manufacturers to create bold, innovative timber furniture.

Launched with a Hackathon event on 25th April 2024 at iN Design Lab, KL Eco City, TIMB3R DIP 4.0 pushes the boundaries of timber design, emphasizing craftsmanship, creativity, and global competitiveness.

This programme encourages bold, statement-making furniture while strengthening the designer-manufacturer relationship to drive innovation in Malaysia’s timber industry.

Skali Collection

Through this programme, we collaborated with designer Mustasha Musa to develop the Skali Collection, a dining set inspired by the iconic monobloc plastic chair. The Skali Collection transforms a universal design into an elegant piece crafted from rich, sustainable Nyatoh timber. Named after the Malay word “Sekali” (together), it symbolises connection, inviting us to gather, share, and create lasting memories. More than just a dining set, Skali is a celebration of togetherness, designed to be part of the stories we tell and the bonds we build.
